An update to one of my fanfiction: Wielding Katana.
The Fifth Chapter: Dark Storm
Jaejoong peered through from the deserted pillar at the far corner of the entrance hall. The arrival counter stood a few miles away from him and there were quite a number of families waiting for their somebody. Jaejoong knew the incident last night will be a talk of a town in the news and the bulletins. Police and security guards from all around the city would have a warrant or at least, a picture of him and Changmin. So, to take a risk of being identified at a packed hall like this was not a good idea. Jaejoong checked his watch for the third time before scanning the hall again. It was almost four in the evening and yet, the man he was anticipating still had not showed his face yet. Jaejoong looked over the sea of human to catch a glimpse of the counter, but quickly pulled himself under the cover of the large pillar when a couple of police approached a male foreigner not too far away from Jaejoong. Jaejoong carefully tilted his head to eavesdrop their conversations but since, he quite far from the police and the sound of people chattering in the hall was too deafening, Jaejoong only could watch from the distant.
Based on the foreigner’s puzzled and tensed expression, Jaejoong knew he was questioned, or should he says, interrogated by the police. The foreigner pulled out a passport from his bag and gave it to the police. After a few more talking, the policemen gave the passport back to the foreigner and left him. Not a moment after, the same policemen did the same thing to a couple of European male at the vending machine. After a few minutes, they went to the next foreigner who was digging his bag for something and went through the whole process again. Jaejoong slightly fidgeted by situation. It seemed that the police became more serious and suspicious about any male. But strangely, they only targeted a foreigner. ‘Strange.’ Jaejoong thought.
After a few minutes, Jaejoong pulled himself back under the pillar’s cover and was about to move to the pillar near the restroom where he can get a better view of the arrival counter, but instantly, a group of six tall and muscular men in black suit caught Jaejoong’s attention. They walked in steady, sync steps, almost like a military trained soldier. They carried a black bag each and moved to the arrival counter to verify their passport. After a few minutes, one of the men who wore sunglasses took off his glass and tucked it inside his suit. Jaejoong recognized him instantly. Without wasting any moment, Jaejoong pulled down his black cap and donned a pair of sunglasses before walking towards the guy.
The blonde haired male was about to turned from the counter, after retrieving his passport, but suddenly a black haired, sunglasses man purposely slammed his shoulder with his own before walking away to a deserted corridor that connected to the fire-escape stairs. But it wasn’t the fact that the man failed to apologies for his mistake, but the way the man eyed him, what rang the bell. ‘Jaejoong!’ Junsu quickly gathered himself and signaled his men to follow him to the corridor. After a few minutes, he turned to his left and caught the sight of the same man standing stoically in front of the fire-escape door. Junsu walked to Jaejoong’s side and asked.
“Where’s Changmin?” Instead of answering, Jaejoong ignored him and gestured him to follow through the fire-escape stairs. Despite Junsu’s irritation of being ignored, he pushed the feeling away and followed him. After a few minutes, he found himself exiting the airport from the back door. He could hear a few distant shouting from behind him where a large, white hangar stood. A few mechanics ran around with a kit in their hand while uttering something inaudible to his ear. Junsu then realized where he was. “Where are we going?” Junsu asked.
“To Master Changmin’s hideout.” Jaejoong answered simply before walking off to another direction. Junsu quickly caught up with him and walked beside the serious looking male.
“Where is he?” Junsu asked again, this time, with an edge of annoyance.
“Hiding.” Jaejoong said without paying Junsu a glance, which made Junsu more irritate.
“How’s his condition?” Junsu asked monotonously, despite his will to put a bullet in Jaejoong’s arrogant head.
“Injured.” Junsu instantly threw Jaejoong a shocked look, more curious to what had happened last night than worrying about Changmin’s condition.
“Where is he?!” Junsu demanded again. Jaejoong stopped in his trail and cast an emotionless stare at the shorter male.
“The order was to bring you to my master, nothing else.” Jaejoong quickly resumed to his walking and left Junsu dumbfounded at his statement.
After a few second, his gritted his teeth in annoyance and sucked the air through his gritted teeth. He had been long patient with the other man. From his arrogance to his disrespectful behavior, Junsu hated Jaejoong the first time he met him. Jaejoong never see him as the right hand man of his master, but instead as a nobody. Maybe because he received more privileges than Junsu did, but still, Junsu was the second man, and he deserved a respect. But Jaejoong simply did not acknowledge that. Even though, Junsu planned to take him and Changmin out at the same time, Junsu just couldn’t wait to rip the man’s flesh into pieces. But as a trained actor he was, Junsu swallowed his saliva and ignored the burning anger stuck in throat.
Once they crossed five blocks of buildings, Jaejoong make a turn into a dark alley where a black van parked between the walls in the narrow alley. Intuitively, Junsu chuckled slowly while silently admiring his intelligence. Junsu filled the front passenger seat, while his men loaded their luggage into the trunk and filled the back seat. Jaejoong fired up the engine and pulled the van into a reverse until the van entered the road, before he changed into the lowest gear and sped away. The highway is the most straightforward road to reach Changmin’s hiding place, but there will be a highway toll and toll is equipped with security cameras. So, Jaejoong made a turn at the junction and decided to take an old, narrow road instead.
After all, Jaejoong did not plan to bring Junsu to the hospital…not now, at least.

Changmin sighed for the nth time and rolled his body. The wound on his leg has gone numb, but he still has some trouble walking. It has been hours since he lay down on the uncomfortable bed and stared at the hideous ceiling. His mind ran wildly, from the possibility of escape to his own-made theory that someone within his organization tried to erase him. He tried to think of all the possible candidates that were capable of such treason. It was not like he had no enemy. In fact, he had countless of them, inside and outside his own company. He, basically, has to keep Jaejoong close to him at all time, just so he wouldn’t have to worry about watching his back.
Changmin looked away room from the ceiling and closed his eyes. For now, he need to rest as much as he can. But as soon as he closed his eyes, an explosion outside of the hospital shook the ground. The old bed cracked and Changmin’s weight brought it down instantly. “ARGH!!!” Changmin grunted and growled in pain. A brick shot out from the exploded wall crashed his injured leg. As soon as it came, it disappeared instantly. Silence befell the room as smoke and dust covered the entire premise. Changmin’s survival instinct immediately shot up…he needs to get out of here.
