“I kind of surprise that you chose that girl…” A deep voice
boomed across the empty hall. There was only a girl, leaning on the window and a
man, dressed up in full tailcoat standing in front of her with his hand tugged
in front of him. It was loud outside, perhaps because of the heavy rain and the
thunder roaring behind the window.
“She has a name, Jameson. I have never tolerated such
behavior no matter who you are addressing to.” The tall, raven-haired girl
reminded her butler gently, as she fixed her eyes into the dark, gloomy cloud.
The butler lowered his head, softly repositioned his standing.
“Forgive me, but I feared that your choice is
too…surprising.” The butler chose his word carefully, not to upset the lady,
who is never fond of someone questioning her decision.
“Are you saying that she is out of my league?”
“With all due respect. A person such as her could only
dream of talking to you, let alone being served by you.” This time, the lady
stood and turned towards her butler, ignoring the lightening just flashed
outside her window.
“If you say so… perhaps, it would not hurt to make her
dream into a reality.” Vlairwanderre look at her butler in the eyes and a small
smile curved across her jaw. “After all, it will be a test for myself and I
hope you will stand with me on this.” Jameson, who was disappointed by the
lady’s answer, wished no more of this conversation. Due to respect of the
lady’s wish, he accepted her decision and finally lowered his head to the floor.
“Yes, my lady. I will always be by your side, no matter
which road you wishes to follow…” With that, the decision was made…
